Truelove
Label Collective are proud to present a first in the coalition of music & TV.
In conjunction with Addictive TV, we have produced an ambient chill-out album using
music from the Channel 4 transambient series which begins broadcasting on 10th
July. Contained are predominantly
exclusive tracks from the likes of 808 State, the Source, and Geraint Hughes famed
for (Hey, were going to) Barbados.
Apart from the appeal of the multi media concept, we at Truelove were particularly
inspired by the quality and style of the tracks. The CD is not merely a
collection of ambient, trance & drum and bass tracks. They all have an energy which
differentiates them from traditional perceptions of ambient or chill-out. We like to think of it (in true Truelove
style)as ambient with attitude.
Transambient is the 21st Century convergence of music and visuals that has been described
by some simply as vusic. The Channel 4 series presents visuals with a startling new take
on the world, looking at its patterns, rhythms and abstract beauty. This is the
music side of it: genre-crossing, drawing on and blending styles ranging from drum &
bass, trance and ambient grooves to some very left-field polyrhythmic ambience.
The vision behind Transambient is to create something more than just music with visuals or
visuals with music; a true synergy of the two. When music and visuals fuse something new
happens; somewhere deep down, where the brain decodes and constructs meaning. And because
everyone's brain is wired differently, everybody gets something different out of it. And
the more you get into it, the more you get out of it.
One day people will talk about vusic as just another established form of mainstream
entertainment.
This is the beginning. Check it out. |
