LABEL BACKGROUND >>>>>>
Phoenix Uprising (formerly known as Phoenix Rising)
began its life at the now deceased Effective Records
and was responsible for such huge club hits like Jon
The Dentist’s ‘Silmarillion’, Section
X’s ‘Galaxians’ and Montini Experience’s
‘My House Is Your House’. It seemed sad
to let its wings down, so Truelove adopted it, re named
it and with Jon The Dentist back at the helm, turned
it into the bouncing club friendly label that it is.
Outrageously tongue
in cheek sampling together with hedonisticly hefty basslines
and soaring synth riffs single out Phoenix Uprising
from any other label as each release never fails to
create huge interest with DJ’s and club go-ers
alike.
From the earlier
tunes such as Visual Attack’s ‘Aircut’
(Dougan and Cobain aka Future Sound of London in a former
guise) and Jon The Dentist’s ‘I Can’t
Stop’ through to the much sought after Barabas
& OD1 series including ‘Deeper’ and
‘In My House’, Phoenix Uprising has kept
abreast of musical fickleness with stonking club sounds
and pounding hard house and trance that never fail to
please the dancefloor time after time.
