the
first release from fluff
is the debut single from D-Bop
- "I Feel Like Dancin'' with remixes coming from
Tony De Vit, Diddy and D-Bop themselves.
D-Bop are fast becoming one of
the many millions of bright new remix teams to emerge from the
UK dance scene in the 90's.
D-Bop are Andy
Allder & Dave Cross, Andy has been making
records for many years under various guises including A Deeper
Cut and Noyz R Us and various projects with Diddy,
while Dave was until recently responsible for running Feverpitch
records, but he is now one of the promoters of MELT,
the new Sunday night club at Turnmills (London EC1) and him and
Andy can often be found at the bar, trying to get people to buy
them a drink.
D-Bops mixes can be defined as uplifting Hard House and
Techno, with a strong Euro and Hardbag feel. Londons most famous
club Trade
is definitely D-Bops spiritual home.
The
forthcoming release of D-Bops debut single 'I Feel Like Dancing'
is hot news indeed. The single is due for release in the first
week of June on Fluff Records via Truelove, The single
will feature the orginal D-Bop Mix plus new mixes from TONY DE
VIT and Diddy.
Over Christmas D-Bop were hard at work on a number of mixes including
Praga Khan - Injected With A Poison, N-Tyce - Telefunkin and believe
it or not SARAH BRIGHTMAN - I LOST MY HEART TO A STARSHIP TROOPER.
If you want to hear any of the other latest D-Bop mixes you should
track down DJ's like Tony DeVit, Rachel Auburn, Pete Wardman,
Wayne G, Madame Friction and Don Grant. They can all be persuaded
to play requests if you buy them a drink - especially Wayne G
(who will do ANYTHING for a Vodka & Coke)
