comes from a drink called ‘Canei Bosca’ which is filthy, horrible
, cheap Italian wine. It’s like Thunderbird." explains
Jon The Dentist.
"We had a job lot in
the studio about 5 years ago so we started drinking it all and wearing
sombreros, like you do and we just came up with Boscaland. You know, it
all came out of a pissed haze (imitating mexican Bandito accent).. ‘I
am Senor Bosca, from Boscaland’".
"Bosca Beats arrived
later because I wanted to record stuff which was more trancey and bouncy.
I had a label called Dream Inn with Baby
Doc which we closed down – so I set up Bosca Beats as an outlet
for all that stuff. I hate to use the word, but it was more nu-energy,
with even more keyboards."
