[JON IN THE TOP 100 DJ'S IN THE WORLD 1998]

Besides running and recording for his Phoenix Uprising and Boscaland labels, Jon has also recorded for EMI / Positiva offshoot Additive and has had a Top 75 hit on Tidy Trax in collaboration with Ollie Jaye with ‘Imagination’ and "Feel So Good"

He DJs all over the world with regular visits to Canada, Japan, New York and Germany. Prominent 1998 gigs included Dance Valley in Amsterdam, the Berlin Love Parade, Glastonbury and headlining Destiny's World Electronic Music Festival (WEMF) in Toronto, Canada.  1999 saw Jon once again headline both Dance Valley and WEMF, as well as headlining the WEMF Tour of Canada and USA.

He has built his own studio in Wales, which he shares with recording partner Shane Morris. Jon and Shane work under a variety of guises including Bleep and Booster and the highly successful Barabas & OD1 who gave us club hits ‘Deeper’, ‘Deeper 99’, ‘Ghettoblaster’ and 'Bass Drop' on Phoenix Uprising.  They also mixed Twisted’s ‘Breakdance’ track.  Two more are Madely (in honour of Richard), and Billabong - and has been collaborating with other artists and DJ’s including John OO Fleming, K90 and Tom Harding.  Another is local Cardiff DJ, Ollie, and their project, ‘Imagination’, was licensed to Tidy Trax along with Jon’s own mix of ‘Travel’ by Bulgarian.

wpe3.jpg (7618 bytes)When not recording his own material or jetting around the world, he somehow finds time to remix for other artists, ranging from Top 40 successes for The Candy Girls and The Source, to classic trance anthems for Montini Experience and Commander Tom. His remix repertoire also extends to resolutely underground tracks such as Lochi's seminal "London Acid City" on Stay up Forever and Demonic Emotions' "Stuck On a Spacetrip". Most recently he has remixed ‘Gotta Keep On’ for Tidy Trax and ‘Contact’ for Eat Static which has been getting a caning on Radio One.

His album "The Culture" was released September 1999 on T.E.C. Finally, to fill those few seconds before sleeping, he does guest reviews for publications around the world.
